ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The Automotive Program at SRVRTC is a two and one-half year, 540-hour program, accredited by the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation, with its primary mission to prepare students for college or career readiness.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
Maintenance and light repair in these ASE content areas:
- Engine repair
- Automatic trans/transaxle
- Manual Drive train and axle
- Steering and suspension
- Brakes
- Electrical and electrical systems
- Heating and air conditioning
- Engine performance
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
- See your guidance counselor
- Enroll in Exploring Automotive
- Apply for and successfully complete Automotive Technology I and II
CHOOSE YOUR PATHWAY:
- Go directly to work in an entry-level position in the automotive industry
or
- Continue education by completing a post-secondary automotive program and enter the automotive field with experience and certifications
